Bioesters Division Bioesters are the products that result from a chemical reaction called transesterification. Starting materials are used vegetable oils or fats from local area restaurants. It should be noted that the only difference between biodiesel and biowax is the melting point- they are both made using the same process. Biodiesel cooperative In order to further the cause of micro-biodiesel production in Vermont and other parts of the country, we seek to develop a biodiesel cooperative. Members will benefit from low-cost testing services of their fuel, the possibility of bulk-buying discounts of reagents (such as methanol and potassium hydroxide) and a shared knowledge base of members. Please contact Scott if you're interested in joining. We're currently trying to schedule our first meeting. See www.nebcoop.org for more information. |
